Haixia Zhang (Alice)

Dr. Haixia Zhang is Professor in Institute of Microelectronics, Peking University. Prof. Zhang got her Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology at 1998, then she joined Tsinghua University as a post doctor researcher. From 2001, she became a faculty member in IME PKU. During 2004-2006 She worked as a visiting professor in UC Davis, UC Berkeley and Case Westerm Reserve University, USA. Her research field include, MEMS Design and Fabrication Technology; MEMS Sensors & Actuators and Nano Electromechanical System (NEMS).

She won National Invention Award of Science & Technology (Silicon-based MEMS Technologies and Applications) at 2006. She is the author of 50+ peer-reviewed journal and conference proceeding papers in the field of micro/nanotechnologies. Dr. Zhang serves regularly as reviewer for 10+ journals in microengineering and nanotechnology. She also serves as organizer and chair for a number of international conferences, including TRANSDUCERS'11, IEEE NEMS, ASME MNC, etc. She is a senior member of IEEE since 2010, and she is serving as the Chair of IEEE NTC Beijing Chapter, Secretary General in Chinese International NEMS Society (CINS), the co-founder of Chinese International NEMS Network (CINN) and International Contest of Applications for Nano-Micro technology (iCAN).
